Excellent book for baby food. My children are grown however I got this for other reasons too. Great ideas for even an older person who has trouble chewing. I wished I had this when my children were younger
This is a really solid cookbook. The recipes sound delicious, and I like that the author teaches you how to make things ahead of time. It does have a couple of flaws, though. The main flaw is that the recipes, at least those in the single-ingredient purees section (the only ones I've tried so far), are not very clear, particularly on how much water to add when blending. For example, many recipes say to add the steamed vegetable/fruit and "the steaming water" to the blender. To me, this means that I need to add ALL of the steaming water. The same recipes also list "1/4 cup of water, plus more if needed" in the ingredients section - I haven't figured out where the 1/4 cup of water is supposed to come into play, as it isn't described in the recipe steps. As a result, a couple of the recipes made double the amount that they were supposed to and ended up very watery. Now I know to only add as much of the steaming water as you want, depending on what you would like the texture of the puree to be. I just think this could have been more clear. That said, as I mentioned above, the recipes sound really yummy, and I look forward to my little one graduating to the next food stages!
So easy and has some great suggestions for spice pairings. I’ve been testing lots of options and found several that my little one loves that I wouldn’t have thought of.

Great book for easy and versatile baby food! Easy to follow with a lot of useful information. I love how many of the early, pureed recipes can be frozen and then used for the later recipes. Being able to freeze baby food has been such a time-saver! It's so convenient to have one book that can span from infancy to toddlerhood - will be using this for years to come!
Great recipes. I love it. The recipes work great with the pouch system that you can get on Amazon.You can make a great variety of meals, snacks and desserts then you can just put them in the pouches and freeze them. The recipes are really good.
This book was not helpful for me. Mostly different kinds of purees which I did it in my own for my first. I was expecting a lot more variety.
I bought 2 different baby food-making books and this was by far my favorite. It tells you the age to start introducing which food combinations, and what tastes best with each combination. I love it and its helped tremendously with my son.
